Under £10 Foundations For Every Type Of Finish

February 26, 2018

Hello my lovelies! So today i have a post dedicated to budget friendly foundations. I find that the drugstore is constantly upping their game with makeup to suit every skin type and colour and it’s so refreshing.  Gone are day’s of light, medium and dark! With that in mind here are my picks to suit every skin type…

For the oily girls – L’Oreal Infallible Pro Matte Foundation , £8.99.

As the name would suggest this foundation has a matte finish and is perfect for those of you with oilier skin types. It offers full coverage and a great wear time without the need to touch up. This foundation is my go to for ‘that time of the month’ where my skin gets problematic and needs all the help it can get. (tmi?)

For the dry skin girls – Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation , £8.29.

An oldie but a goodie, I’ve been using this foundation since maybe year 9 in school! The foundation has a light to medium coverage but looks like nothing on the skin. It doesn’t emphasise any dry patches and makes my skin look healthy and hydrated. It never fails me and that’s the reason it’s stuck around for so long.

For the girls who love to glow  – L’Oreal Lumi Magique Foundation, £10.99. (oops)

Ok so side note this foundation is 99p over the budget but it’s always on offe,  and is available on sites like fragrance direct for a fraction of the price. Anywho… This foundation is fab for those of you who love a dewy finish, definitely one to stay away from if you’ve got oily skin. I find that this is a great winter foundation when my skin is looking dull and tired and needs a pick me up. I do find that on my combo skin i still need to powder it down, but the nice thing is that even after powdering it still looks glowy.

For the girls who love full coverage – Maybelline Superstay Foundation

Sometimes you just need a full coverage foundation, one that you can trust to cover everything. For me this maybelline foundation does just that, it offers mega coverage without feeling heavy or feeling like a mask. This has to be one of the highest coverage foundations I’ve ever tried at the drugstore, and i totally get why everyone is raving about it and comparing it to higher end rivals.

For the girls who like a ‘barely there’ coverage – The Ordinary Serum Foundation, £5.70.

Lastly we have something for those of you who love a lightweight coverage. This foundation from the ordinary offers a light coverage that looks undetectable on the skin. It’s extremely liquidy in consistency but once on the skin, dries down to a semi-matte finish. This little guy was a must have in the summer and came on holiday with me.

There we have it my must have foundations for every type, hope you enjoyed it!

Great post, and your photos are gorgeous! I’ve been living for glowy foundations lately, and the L’Oreal one sounds like a much cheaper alternative to the Nars Sheer Glow, so I must pick that up xx
