Problem Skin Saviours
Hello my lovelies. So you may have seen me mention how as of late my skin has been really playing up. I’m normally combo-dry but lately my skin has been breaking out and is being overly oily. I’m yet to work out the culprit however i do believe it’s hormonal. With my skin playing up i’ve been changing up some elements in my skincare routine to cater for my skin and i thought i’d share with you some of my new holy grails.
Newest to my routine but very welcome nonetheless. This toner was is fab made of tea tree which is renowned for being antibacterial, antifungal and antimicrobial it helps keep my skin clear and refreshed. As it’s from lush i know i’m only getting natural and organic ingredients that won’t cause any irritation to my skin.
I’ve been loving this toner for a few months now and it’s featured a few times here on my blog but all for a good reason. Serozinc is basically just a zinc toner, with just zinc and water as the ingredients it’s really pure and the zinc get’s a chance to work it’s magic. This toner is the best for balancing out the skin when it’s playing up and helps to reduce redness.
As mentioned my skin has been overly oily so to help combat that i’ve been opting for a mattifying moisturiser over my regular one. I was quite dubious at first as most mattiying moisturisers work well but they really dry out my skin, however this one wasn’t the case. It gives my skin the right amount of moisture while still working to mattify the skin. This moisturiser also work as a fab base for makeup.
When my skins playing up my first port of call is a clay face mask. Clay’s work to balance, detoxify and clear the skin, the L’Oreal clay masks are my current favourite and this being my current one, although i do favour the detox one.
There’s nothing worse than those pesky spots that just pop up out of nowhere and make themselves welcome on your face. This ‘Zit Zapper’ from elf is my first port of call when I feel a spot coming through. It stop the spot in its track, calms it down and politely tells it to get lost (Pretty much). I always keep this on me to reapply during the day and by the next day the spot will be gone!
Not one that is necessarily going to do wonders at clearing up your skin as at the end of the day it’s a foundation. However this nifty little guy is packed with salicylic acid which in turn will help to fight breakouts. It has great coverage which is fab for problem skin days and it has a really great wear time. Basically you get a spot treatment and full coverage foundation all in one, perfect!
