New In From L’oreal | First Impessions & Review

February 6, 2018

Hello my lovelies! So i recently spotted some exciting new launches from L’oreal on their instagram and practically ran out to my local superdrug to pick them up. I’ve been trialling them all for a good week now and spoiler alert I’M OBSESSED! Read on for all the goss…

First up is the Infallible Primer Shot in Pore Minimising , £8.99.

Claims : ‘Transform your skin in an instant with New Infallible Primer shots, our 1st collection of primers to correct and perfect the skin. The ultra-lightweight formula glides onto skin, for a perfectly smooth, hydrated finish that lets skin breathe. Choose from 5 different finishes: Mattify, smooth, luminise, neutralise and brighten, for a custom finish. Apply primer alone, underneath foundation, or mix the primers together to lock in makeup.’

I picked up the ‘pore refining’ style as I have combo skin with larger pores in my t-zone. Most pore refining primers I’ve used tend to be of a more drying silicone consistency, however this is not the case with this little guy. It has a thicker cream/gel consistency that glides on the skin like silk. The formula instantly blurs out my skin and gives me , smooth filter looking skin. I ‘ve used it with a combo of different foundations and it works like a dream for them all. Keeps me matte and makes my makeup last that bit longer.

The product i was most excited for was the Infallible Shaping Stick Foundation in 140 Nautral Rose, £8.99.

Claims: ‘Customisable base that lasts up to 24 hours. Our 1st base shaping stick has an ultra-creamy, no compromise formula which seamlessly melts into skin for buildable coverage, without the mask effect. The round-shaped bullet makeup applicator allows for precise, even coverage while the matte formula creates a flawless, shine-free base.’

I couldn’t agree more with the claims for this foundation. It makes creating your base super quick and easy and looks flawless. A lot of drugstore, and even higher end stick foundations can often be more of a dryer consistency that tugs at the skin but this stick does the opposite, it glides on effortlessly. I feel like this foundation stick is one of those products i could put on in the dark and it would still look amazing.

Lastly of the bunch i picked up is the Infallible Concealer Pomade in Light ,£6.99.

Claims: ‘Introducing New Infallible concealer pomade, our 1st full coverage concealer pomade to cover dark circles, blur imperfection and hide blemishes, for up to 24 hours. The highly pigmented creamy formula blends seamlessly, for easy, smooth application, crease resistant finish and all day wear. For targeted colour correction, use the universal peach concealer to neutralise dark circles, hyper pigmentation and dark spots, for an ultra-flawless canvas”

The name of this product kind of threw me at first, a concealer pomade? But the consistency is just that, not quite a cream, not quite a gel, a pomade! Again i really agree with the claims for this concealer, it blends perfectly and covers up the peskiest of dark circles. I’ve never been much a fan of pot concealers but the consistency of this one has me hooked. Side note this concealer is BOMB for carving out the brows (insert perfect finger gesture).

So all in all a fab first impressions! As mention I’ve been trialling them all for a good week and i’m still loving them all. The stick foundation has been a very welcome member to my foundation routine, purely for how effortless it is. I’m now looking at picking up a darker shade for contour, and looking at the blush and strobe sticks in this line.

Have you tried any of L’Oreal’s newbies yet?

I loved this! I recently purchased the foundation stick and it glides onto the skin so nicely, but it didn’t work with my oily skin very well so I picked up one of the primer shots yesterday and I’m hoping it will be as amazing as you think it is!! Love the photos x
