Empties | Products I’ve Used Up | #1

Some of my favourite posts/videos to watch are empties, there’s something so intriguing to find out what rubbish people have accumulated. It’s always good to know what products people are loving but i find empties are brilliant as you’ve used the whole thing so you can give a more in depth review. I’m planning on making this a series so if you enjoy these kinds of posts then let me know!

Makeup

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation

One of my favourite drugstore foundations. Fab for dry skin, gives a dewy finish and looks undetectable on the skin.

Would I Repurchase? : I have a lot of foundations to get through at the moment, but it’s definitely going to make it’s way back into my collection i’m sure.

Maybelline Fit Me Foundation

Again one of my favourite drugstore foundations. There’s a reason this foundation is always raved about. Medium-full coverage, fills out your pores to make for an even texture and lasts all day.

Would I Repurchase? : I have this foundation in my fake tan shade but now i definitely need to repurchase one in my actual shade.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer

I liked this concealer, it’s nothing amazing but it’s not bad. I really love the rimmel wake me up foundation but the concealer was a bit average.

Would I Repurchase? : Probably not, i have other drugstore concealers that i prefer.

Primark Stay All Day Primer

I picked this primer up on a whim not thinking it would be much but i ended up really liking it.  Of course it’s not the most amazing primer out there, but if you are on a budget or are just starting out with makeup then i think it would be fab.

Would I Repurchase? : I wouldn’t run out to get it again but i also wouldn’t not repurchase.

Maybelline Fit Me Flawless Powder

Holy gail drugstore powder, if you have dry skin and you find powders emphasis your dryness then you neeeeed to try this. It sets your foundation in place but doesn’t make the skin look flat.

Would I Repurchase? : I already have a back up.

NYX HD Blush in Taupe

If you are on the hunt for a new contour shade then you must check this ‘blusher’ out. I’ve never really got why this is actually classed as a blush as i’m not sure that it would suit anyone as a blush but as a contour it’s amazing. It’s not too grey toned nor it is too orange it’s the perfect middle ground.

Would I Repurchase? : Definitely, next time i’m in boots it will be making it’s way into my basket!

Maybelline Micro Brow Pencil

I loved this brow pencil! Normally i’m extremely loyal to my NYX micro pencil but when i ran out i picked up this little guy in a 3 for 2 on maybelline offer in boots and i became obsessed. It has a great consistency and stayed put all day.

Would I Repurchase? : I don’t love it more than the NYX version and they are around the same price i believe, so i will probably stick to the NYX one but i wouldn’t not repurchase it again.

Rimmel Match Perfection Silky Loose Powder

Another products i loved. Does the job, doesn’t make my skin look cakey or dried out and has a slight ‘sheen’ if you can call it that too it just makes your skin look brighter and flawless.

Skin/Body Care

Superdrug Naturally Radiant Hot Cloth Cleanser

I love superdrug’s own skincare lines i’m yet to find something in the line that hasn’t worked for me. This hot cloth cleanser was lovely. I do think i prefer the vitamin e line version as i find it removes eye makeup better but this one was still good.

Would I Repurchase? : As mentioned i would probably stick to the vitamin e line version as i think it works better.

Mario Badescu Facial Spray

This was a sad day when i used my last spritz. I picked this up as everyone was raving about it and now i know why. It’s super calming and hydrating and has been a welcome step in my skincare routine.

Would I Repurchase? : Definitely, i need the biggest size this time!

Soap and Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash

A bit of a boring topic really but body washes are essential. I really enjoy the soap and glory body washes, they aren’t the most hydrating but they always smell amazing. This scent is one of my favourites from the brand, it’s super sweet and not to everyones taste but i love it.

Would I Repurchase? : Yes, i love the big pump bottles as i find they last ages!

Cocoa Brown 1 Hour Tan Mousse in Dark

I go through bottles of this tan like there’s no tomorrow. A holy grail, the perfect colour, smells good and doesn’t look streaky.

Would I Repurchase? : I’ve already got 2 in back up!

Other

Paco Rabane Lady Million Perfume

It’s not often that i completely finish a whole perfume as i have quite the collection and i’m always alternating them but this perfume just got a lot of love. It’s quite a strong scent but it’s beautiful. I’m awful at describing scents so i’m not even going to attempt to explain this one but just give it a sniff when you next go to a perfume counter.

Would I Repurchase? : As mention i have quite a few to get through still and this one is quite expensive so i won’t be repurchasing any time soon but who knows, maybe santa will bring me a back up!

And that’s it! Finally i can get rid of all this rubbish clogging my drawers!

I’ve never thought of this but love the idea! You’re so right, you can give a much better review of a product when you’ve used it for some time xx

I love superdrug’s own line too, I’ve not actually tried to vitamin e ones yet though so maybe I will give them a go next time if you like them better. I need a new primer so think I would grab a Primarni one too based on this- thanks for the tips! (also definitely a good idea to say what you have used up)
