Drugstore Liquid Illuminators For That Poppin’ Glow

October 22, 2017

(L to R : Barry M Liquid Crome, Makeup Revolution Liquid Highlighter, Seventeen Skin Wow, Revlon Skinlight)

There’s nothing I love more than a poppin’ Highlighter. I’ve really got into liquid highlighter recently as I love how versatile they are to use rather than a powder.

Brands have been bringing out liquid highlighters left, right and centre at the moment and the drugstore have been killing it. For those of you lusting after the hella expensive cover fx illuminating Drops you’ll love some of these alternatives.

Barry M Liquid Chrome in At First Light

Barry M are my go to when it comes to nail varnish and i’m a massive fan of their lip kits, but other than that i’ve never really dabbled into their makeup. However if the quality of this highlighter is anything to go by then i need to pick up more. I really like the consistency of this highlighter, it’s the thickest of this bunch but it’s still easy to blend. I have the shade ‘at first light’ and it has the most perfect pink tone without looking like a blusher shade. I really recommend you pick one up!

Makeup Revolution Liquid Highlighter in Champagne

Newest to my collection but not to say the least. This has to be my favourite of the bunch here, blends perfectly and looks amazing on the skin. I’ve not tried the cover fx drops myself but a lot of people say that these are the closest dupe, so brownie points!

Seventeen Skin Wow Primer

I believe this might be the first liquid highlighter I brought from the drugstore. This has a lovely icy-champagne finish, it’s tailored as a primer and that’s my favourite use. If you are paler than me then this might be there perfect highlighing shade for the cheekbones.

Revlon Skin Lights in Bare Light

It pains to me write this but as I was searching for a link to this product I found out that is discontinued?! This is definitely the most subtle of the ones mentioned but that doesn’t meant it’s not amazing. I have mine in the shade ‘bare light’ and it has a bronze tone to it. This highlighter is my favourite for mixing with moisturiser on no makeup days to give me a healthy glow without looking like a glitter disco ball.

And there you go, all my fav highlighers! Are there any you recommend?
