Brand Focus | MUA Cosmetics | Hits & Misses
MUA is a brand I used to overlook, however as of late I really think that that have upped their game. I have a few hits and a couple of misses of the products I’ve actually tried. Their new pro line has so far really impressed me and theirs a few products I need to pick up but for now here’s my thoughts…
Custom Colour Foundation Mixers
Foundation mixers are one the most useful items to have in your makeup collection. I love that more drugstore brands are bringing their own versions out and these MUA ones are fab. I love that I can just have one shade of foundation that I can customise depending on the seasons and my skin tone.
Bronzed Perfection Matte
This bronzer is a really great cheap alternative. Not the most pigmented Bronzer ever but it’s buildable. It’s a good middle ground colour, not too warm not too cool. This actually can on holiday with me last year and it did the job!
Matte Liquid Liner
Okay so this was awful. I featured it in a disappointing products post here so I won’t go into much detail here but don’t waste your money. It’s flaky and the applicator is like a dragged on your eyelids. No go.
Luxe Radiant Illumination Kit 1
I was a little unsure on this product at first as I thought it was a highlighting palette but it’s not quite that. It has Matte and shimmer shades, the Matte shades are actually really good for setting the under Eye area as they help brighten, the shimmer shades however aren’t the even that shimmery so they don’t really work as a Highlighter. I love the yellow and bronze shades the most but I just wish they all had a little more glow.
6 Shade Eyeshadow Palette in Rusted Wonders
I cannot tell you how obsessed I am with this little palette. First of the colour selection is beautiful but best of all the pigment is insane. The shadows almost have a metallic foiled finish not like anything I have in my collection. I wasn’t expecting much but I was so blown away. I need to try the others in the the 6 shade palette collection if they are anything like this one. Go buy this right now!
Pixel Perfect Multi Blush in Peach Bloom
This blush is the worst blush I think I’ve ever tried. It looked so pretty in the pan but there is literally no pigment to it what so ever. I kept rubbing my finger into it to try and built it up but nothing, I’m just glad it was cheap!
Pro-Base Matte Fixing Mist (Not Pictured)
Silly me forgot to add this in the above photo!
As far as fixing mists go this is a good runner. It takes away that powdered look and instantly mattifies my face. I wouldn’t say I’ve massively noticed that it helps the longevity of my makeup, but it does stop it from transferring
