Brand Focus | B. Skincare
I’m such a skincare junkie, it’s where i like to spend my money and i’m constantly changing up my routine. Forever on the hunt for new products i typically opt for higher end, however the drugstore has massively upped their game the past few years and i’m factoring in more and more budget friendly products into my routine. Today i wanted to do a brand focus on superdrugs own brand ‘B.‘. Cruelty free and vegan B has a wide range of products that really rival some higher end equivalents. It has a simple yet pleasing packaging and a easy to follow range breakdown depending on your age (you don’t have to follow it). I’ve accumulated a few products as of late and here’s the lowdown
One of my absolute favourites of what i’ve tried. Essence lotions are a relatively new in the UK/Europe, a product that’s made it’s way over from Japan. They are a toner/moisturiser hybrid that have a ‘thick watery’ consistency, if that makes sense and are used straight after cleansing and before moisturising. This one from B. soothes my skin and eases that ‘tight’ feeling after cleansing and gives my skin a shot of moisture.
I featured this little guy in my recent face mask post which you have read here. I love overnight masks as they are so easy to use, simply pop on before bed and wake up to beautiful skin! I do really enjoy using this mask however it is pricey for a drugstore mask, i wouldn’t say it’s necessarily worth the full price tag so i would recommend picking it up when it’s on offer.
I’ve always been a facial spray junkie, there’s something just so cooling and refreshing about a spray toner formula. This one from B. has been my latest obsession, packed with hyaluronic acid it instantly hydrates and refreshes my skin. I also love using this throughout the day when my makeup is looking a little flat and needs a spruce up. This little gem is also definitely making it into my holiday carry on bag for refreshing on the flight.
When it comes to cleansing i love a balm/gel consistency that i can use with a muslin cloth. This cleanser is just that, from the tube and on first application it has a thick, gloopy gel consistency that you massage into your skin to break down your makeup. Then simply add a little water and it transforms into a milky oil, then remove with a muslin cloth and ta-da, super soft and clean skin! I’ve been using this every night to remove my makeup since i got it and i’m really enjoying using it.
As a sensitive skin gal at first i was super apprehensive about this as a ‘peel’ sounds quite abrasive. However i was pleasantly surprised when i used it to find it was actually really gentle. This peel works as a chemical exfoliator rather than a exfoliator with the little beads or sugar. It’s a much less harsh way of cleansing and is great for sensitive skin.

I actually used the whole pack of these and stupidly threw away the packaging before photographing them for this post, doh! That aside as far as wipes go these are fab, i’m not a massive wipe user but i do like them for when i have a heavy full face on to remove the bulk before cleansing. These wipes were really gentle and didn’t tug at my skin at all. I wouldn’t rush out to get them but i would repurchase them again.
And that’s it, all in all they are all hits! I definitely looking to try more from the line and i’m also intrigued to try their makeup line. Have you tried anything from B. ?
