5 Foundations I’m Road Testing
Hello my lovelies! So foundation is one of those products that i can’t help but by more of. I’m constantly testing out new foundations to find the best of the bunch and road testing them in cycle. I’ve accumulated quite a few recently so i thought i’d share with you some of my first impressions and thoughts, enjoy!
Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation in 10 Ivory
Performance: Feels super light weight on the skin and makes the skin look even and healthy. It’s a really hydrating foundation so would be fab for dry skin gals. However i’m combo/oily and i find if i set it it still works for me.
Would I Repurchase? : Maybe. This foundation has seen me through the colder months but i don’t think i’ll be reaching for it in the summer.
W7 Legend Foundation in Buff
Performance: I’ve been road testing this foundation on problem skin days where my skin needs the coverage. It’s quite a thick feeling foundation and you can definitely feel it on the skin, but due to me loving the full coverage i don’t mind. I find that it applies best with a sponge, and works best if you work in smaller amounts as it can cake up if your not careful.
Would I Repurchase? : It’s not something i would run out to buy once i finish it, but i wouldn’t not buy it again.
Essence Fresh & Fit Awake Foundation in 10 Ivory
Performance: If you’re a fan of the bourjois healthy mix foundation then you’ll love this one. It has the same sort of vibe where it’s packed with a fruit complex that hydrates the skin and gives it that ‘healthy’ look. I’ve been reaching for this on days where i don’t feel like a full beat foundation as this one feels really light.
Would I Repurchase? : Yes
Wet n’ Wild Photofocus Foundation in Nude Ivory
Price: $5.99 (£4.20)
Finish: Natural Matte
Performance: Ah – may – zing. I won’t go into much detail here as I’ve got a post planned that’s fully dedicated to this foundation and how much i love it. In short it has great coverage, lasts all day and looks amazing in photography.
Would I Repurchase? : Yes, I’ve already ordered a back up!
Primark My Perfect Colour Longwear Ultimate Matte Foundation in Ivory (Available in store)
Performance: So this little guy has been raved about into the blogging community for being a ‘dupe’ of the Estee Lauder double wear foundation. Now I’ve never personally tried that foundation so i can’t comment on it being a ‘dupe’ but if it’s anything like this one then i’m sure it’s great. Primark have fully upped their game recently with their makeup and this foundation is a steal. It’s full coverage with a matte but not flat finish. It has a great wear time but due to the full coverage you can feel it on the skin.
Would I Repurchase? : Yes, I’ve been loving using this on evenings out as i can trust that it will look fab all night!
Have you tried any of these foundations recently, or is their any others i need to try? Let me know in the comments x
