10 Holy Grail Products Worth The Hype

September 10, 2017

It’s really easy in the blogging world to buy into ‘hype’, what’s ‘cool’ and what’s new. Sometimes things work out and sometimes they don’t, a lot of it is down to personal preference. However there are some products in my stash that i definitely brought because of their hype in the beauty community, here are a few of my holy grail’s…

Morphe Eyeshadow Palettes

Morphe palettes get a lot of hype but for a good reason. The quality of these palettes are second to none, amazing pigmentation, easy to blend and they don’t cost the earth. I now have 3 of their palettes and they are some of the best formulations on the market.

L’Oreal Paradise Mascara

Newest to my makeup stash but greatly welcomed. This mascara got a lot of hype in America and as always it took it’s sweet time to come out in the UK. After hearing all the hype comparing it to the too faced better than sex mascara i knew i had to get my hands on it, so much so that even pre ordered it through boots. Luckily the wait was worth it, this mascara is fab and definitely worth the hype. It adds mega volume, lengthens and holds a curl really well. This mascara even replaced my holy grail maybelline lash sensational (shocker).

Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara

Speaking of the maybelline lash sensational… This mascara has been my holy grail since it came out a few years ago. Whenever anyone asks for a mascara recommendation i always say this one. It’s loved by so many and sells thousands and thousands a day. It’s the perfect all in one and rivals any higher end mascara.

La Girl Pro Conceal HD Concealer

Probably one of the cheapest concealers on the market but don’t let the price fool you. These concealer pack a punch, full coverage, long lasting and lightweight. La girl has a wide colour range and even includes colour corrector shades which is something you don’t often see in cheaper brands so that’s a winner. There’s a reason that even pro makeup artists choose to use this concealer in their pro kits.

Maybelline Fit Me Matte & Poreless Foundation

Maybelline is one of my go to brands at the drugstore, they are constantly bringing out fresh, on trend and high quality products. One of their best is the fit me line. In specific the Matte and poreless foundation. This has quite the cult following, loved by oily skin gals for it’s pore filling and mattiying properties it’s got a good name for a reason. If your in the market for a new foundation be sure to check it out.

Maybelline Gel Liner in Black

There’s a reason that this gel liner is favoured by pro makeup artist. It’s creamy, ultra black, easy to use and long lasting. Gel liners can dry out fast so knowing that this little gem is under £10 and performs as well as higher end alternative there’s no need to worry about it costing the earth.

Deciem The Ordinary Hyluronic Acid

Of course I had to mention the ordinary in this post. The ordinary has to be one of the most hyped up brands ever. Making premium skin care ingridiants readily available without costing an arm and a leg is something to rave about. They have a massive range of products and a easy to use regime guide to help decipher which product is right for you. One of my current favourites from the brand is the hyaluronic acid. Well worth the hype.

La Roch Posay Serozinc

The hype has died down a little on this gem recently but in its day it had a cult following. This little spray is simply zinc and water, nothing complicated or overbearing. It’s fab for problem skin in calming breakouts and balancing the skin. Massive in France and now readily available in boots it’s definitely one to add to your shopping list.

L’Oreal Hydra Genius Aloe Water

The first of its kind at the drugstore, this aloe water is amazing. I believe it’s a Asian beauty trend but I’m all for it. It has a gel-water consistency that sinks into the skin beautifully. Extremely hydrating, refreshing and lightweight. A lot of people have been raving about this products and rightly so.

Bondi Sands Everyday Gradual Tanning Milk

Last but not least is bondi sands. Australia’s no.1 tanning brand. This brand gets a lot of hype as a whole, their liquid gold tanning oil has won a lot of beauty awards and it’s actually next on my fake tan shopping list. If this gradual tanner is anything to go by then I’m down for it. I’m a massive fan of gradual tanners, they keep my skin looking healthy and prolong my fake tan’s colour in between applications. This version has to be one of the best on the market.

Have you brought into the hype of any products recently?

I need to check out this La girl concealer I think! I have really sensitive skin and am super pale so whenever I giddy up into the hype of a product I still end up at the trial counter like ‘just patch test me and move on’. I am even allergic to alot of basic minerals because of all the metals ?

I feel you, i have hyper sensitivity so a lot of products irritate me too! I’m fine with this concealer though! X
